THY KINGDOM COME
          Who then is the faithful and wise servant, to give them their food at the proper time?

 

Our Father who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.  

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven. 

 

           In the Lords prayer, Jesus tells people to pray for"The Kingdom" that is to come.                                   

When is this kingdom going to come,? and where will this kingdom be established.?  Different religions have various ideas concerning  the Kingdom of God. Some believe it is the church. Others take it to mean the British Empire. Yet others believe it is a state of mind, or a feeling in the hearts of men. But does the bible support any of these beliefs.? 

 

                                          THE TRUTH ABOUT GODS  KINGDOM

 

The bible tells us all about this kingdom, how it first began, when and where it will be established.

The Kingdom began back in the days of the Judges. God was the Israelites king since the time they came out of Egypt, and Samuel was prophit and Judge. The Israelites told Samuel they wanted a visible king, just like the other nations,  so Samuel prayed to God and repeated what the Israelites asked for

                                             ISRAELITES REJECT GOD AS THEIR KING  

 

And the LORD said to Samuel, "Hearken to the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them. According to all the deeds which they have done to me, from the day I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are also doing to you. Now then, hearken to their voice only and make them a king and God chose Saul to be the Israelites first king. Then Samuel said to the people, "Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingdom. So all the people went to Gilgal, and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal.

 

       GOD REJECTED AS KING, HIS KINGDOM WAS NOW THE KINGDOM OF MEN                                                   

The house of Saul began its reign over the tribes of Israel. But Saul proved himself weak ,he feared the people and obeyed their voice. The word of the LORD came to Samuel: "I repent that I have made Saul king; for he has turned back from following me, and has not performed my commandments." And Samuel was angry  And Samuel said to Saul, The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbour of yours. And the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.                                        

 

             THE HOUSE OF DAVID BEGAN ITS REIGN OVER THE TRIBES OF JUDAH

 

Samuel was old and he died and he was buried in Ramah. King Saul was badly injured by archers while fighting the Philistines, to evade capture, he ended his life by falling on his own sword. There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul became weaker and weaker.

 

                                             DAVID ANOINTED KING OVER ALL ISRAEL

 

Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron, and said, "Behold, we are your bone and flesh.  In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you that led out and brought in Israel; and the LORD said to you, 'You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over Israel.'"  So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over all Israel  David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.  At Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months; and at Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.

 

            ISRAEL, REMOVED, AND NOW JUDAH, NO ONE RULES IN GOD'S KINGDOM 

 

David's son Solomon was the next king to sit on the throne of David,and then Solomon's son Rehobo'am,he did what was evil in the sight of the LORD.  And so the throne of David was passed down, with some of the kings doing good and others evil. The last king to sit on the throne was Jehoi'akim, he was yet another king of Judah who was evil and wicked, provoking God to anger. God did not turn back from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, over all the provocations of King Manasseh. He rebuilt the high places that Hezekiah his father had destroyed and he erected alters for Baal. He did much evil in the sight of God,provoking him to anger. But God said, Judah too, I shall remove out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, I will also cast off this city I have chosen, Jerusalem.

 

     IN SEVEN TIMES (2,520 YEARS) THE MOST HIGH WILL RULE THE KINGDOM OF MEN                    

Eventually God gave king Jehoiakim into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar and part of the utensils of the house of the true God.  Nebuchadnezzar took them to Shinar to the house of his god and the utensils to the treasure-house of his god. Some of the sons of Israel, of the royal offspring and of the nobles were also taken back, children in whom there was no defect having insight into all wisdom . Daniel was amongst those taken into the palace of the king, to them the true God gave knowledge and insight in all writings and wisdom and Daniel himself had understanding in all sorts of visions and dreams.Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar dream of a tree.And I saw, behold a watcher, a holy one,coming down from heaven. He was calling out loudly,chop down the tree, cut off its branches, shake off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches, but leave the stump of its roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze. Let the mind be changed from that of mankind and let the mind of a beast be given to it and let seven times pass over it. The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.  Daniel 4. 
                                                                                                                                                                                                      THE KINGDOM IS NOW ESTABLISHED IN THE HEAVENS.
                                                                                                                                                                     The seven times came to a end, it was 1914, 2,520 years had passed by. The Most High now rules the kingdom of men and he has set up over it the lowiest one of mankind, his son Christ Jesus. Those of the first resurrection are now with him in the kingdom of men, those still alive on earth will join him by the time Armageddon is upon mankind.  This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years. At the end of the thousand years, Jesus will hand the kingdom back to his father.
                                                                                                                                                                                            JESUS IS TO INHERIT THE THRONE OF DAVID IN GODS KINGDOM. 
                                                                                                                                                                     In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,  to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you!"  But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be .  And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.    Luke 1. 26-33
                                                            
               BLESSED IS THE KINGDOM OF OUR FATHER DAVID THAT IS COMING
                                                                                                                                                                  And they brought the colt to Jesus, and threw their garments on it; and he sat upon it.  And many spread their garments on the road, and others spread leafy branches which they had cut from the fields. And those who went before and those who followed cried out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!  Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming  Hosanna in the highest!"      Mark 11 7-10
                                                                                                                                                                                                             THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
                                                                                                                                                                        In the Lords prayer, Jesus also said,Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. It is the belief of many people, that when they die, they go to heaven, this is just another doctrine of men and it is far from the truth. The bible says- For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward; but the memory of them is lost.  Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and they have no more for ever any share in all that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes.9: 5-6
To believe you go to heaven is folly, unless you are one of God chosen people, who are to inherit the kingdom with Gods son Jesus Christ. David wrote, The heavens are the LORD's heavens, but the earth he has given to the sons of men. Psalms 115: 16
When Armageddon comes, the wicked are destroyed.There will be a recreation on earth. And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new Also he said,  "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true. Rev.21:5
After the recreation, and the earth is back to its former glory, then will people be resurrected back onto earth.During the next thousand years,Jesus will rule all the nations with a rod of iron.Rev12: 5
The saints,(chosen ones ) will judge the world.  1.Corinthians.6: 2
At the end of the thousand years, Satan is let loose and misleads many,these are consumed by fire. Satan is thrown into the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.  
People were judged by what was written in the book of life.  Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
There was a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them;  he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more.
This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Its now it can be said-  THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
